How It All Started
Tofuture was founded by two close friends, Adam and Susanna, who met at Keele University in 1991. Adam became vegetarian while at university, and Susanna followed soon after—going vegetarian at 16 and later vegan after learning more about the dairy industry.
The idea for Tofuture was sparked at home, after a trampoline mishap left Adam recovering with a broken rib. While he rested, Susanna found herself balancing tofu under a chopping board stacked with tins and cookbooks—realizing there had to be a better way. From that moment, Tofuture was born: a solution created out of friendship, practicality, and a love for great tofu.
Today, their spirit of simplicity and innovation lives on with every Tofuture press.
